From raw material supply through production, storage and distribution, the careful planning and co-ordination of logistics is vital to the ultimate quality of the product and service. Crisp Malting Group manage these operations through the Central Services Unit based at Great Ryburgh.
The Central Services Unit has been in operation since 2003 and was created to enhance both operational efficiency and the quality of service provided to our customers. The specialist team is headed by Rob Moody, Logistics Director, and has Group responsibility for raw material planning & administration, production planning & stock scheduling, UK & overseas distribution and all customer services.
Our own transport fleet, formerly Walpole & Wright Ltd, is now operated as an integral part of the Central Services Unit.
The fleet of 44 tonne bulk and 26 tonne rigid curtainside vehicles provide a specialist delivery service and is continually updated to ensure our products are delivered to the highest standards.
Each vehicle is fitted with tracking equipment to pinpoint the exact vehicle locations to give accurate delivery times.
We are members of RHA and AIC. We are also ISO and
TASCC approved for delivery of grain and malt.
